Petone Rifle Club Welcomes Visitors and New Members
Members of Petone Rifle Club (PRC) benefit by belonging to an extremely social and competitive rifle club with strong support from its members and a warm family atmosphere.

Petone Rifle Club members have a history of success at regional, national and international competition. This expertise is passed on to all members by means of coaching and mentoring regardless of your level of ability.

Age or gender is no barrier to shooting; we have members from their twenties through to their eighties. Men and woman compete on an equal basis.

How to become a Member
Contact the club and arrange a time to come along and shoot or check out our events lists on the home page of this web site.  Click here to go to our events list to find a time and a shooting distance that might suit. We mostly shoot from the beginning of September through to the end of April.

We have club equipment available for visitors and new shooters including rifles, jackets, gloves, ear muffs and ground sheets etc. We have a modern fleet of club rifles which are of a similar standard to rifles used by many of our club members.

Costs
As a visitor to the Petone Rifle Club an afternoon's shooting will cost you $50.  (there is no EFTPOS at the range, so cash only please) This fee covers the use of a club rifle, ammumition and other equipment,  it also helps to cover the cost of the marker who is pulling your target up and down each time you fire a shot.

If you have your own rifle, this will need to be approved by the Range Officer of the day so that we all know your rifle and ammunition complies with Trentham Rifle Range Standing Orders.

Shooting is each Saturday during the season.  The club rooms are open from 11.00am and shooting starts at 1.00pm.  Registration of members to compete each Saturday takes place in the club rooms from 11.30am.
