Bone of Contention

Another successful inter club shoot was contested by the Petone Rifle Club. On the 2010 seasons' closing day the annual shoot for the 'Bone of Contention' between the PRC and the Karori Rifle Club was  competed for.

As the Karori Rifle Club members predominately shoot in the F and FTR classes, some of the PRC members who normally shoot target rifle class tried their hand at FTR so we could make a competition on the day.

Rick set his rifle up for some other shooters to use and after Ted Lockyer came off the line with a 56 out of 60 he said "thats %2#& harder than it looks" and was quite exhausted by the mental application and fine tuning of the rifle rests and set up.

A real highlite was the 60 from 60 shot by Rex Hill in his first try with the FTR rifle.

Thanks to the club spirit from these Guys we were able to win a second interclub trophy the thus capped off a successful season for the Petone Rifle Club.
