Hawkes Bay Championship Results 2010

The Hawkes Bay Championships were held at the Trentham range over the Easter weekend.

The PRC organized and ran the successful weekend shoot that was also a fundraiser for the recently purchased defibrillator. The Club was successful in winning the Onga Onga Cup for long range team shooting and also the grand teams aggregate.Rick Fincham Lane Belt and Championship winner 2010

Rick Fincham, Petone Rifle Club President and main organiser for this meeting got off to a flying start on the 1st day and did enough on the second day at the longs to take out the Championship and the Lane Belt for the third time.

Bob Andrews was second in the B grade shooting well above his recent form so also receiving the gold medal for the top score on handicap. Other top performers from the Club were Andre Doyle, second behind Rick in the Short Range Aggregate and Eric Rawlings in B grade just 4 points behind the winner in the championship.

The Petone number one team finished a close 2nd behind the Upper Hutt team in the Collins Shield teams match on the Sunday afternoon.
